Positive Pay is the most powerful tool available to combat check fraud. This service monitors each check presented and matches it to a list of known issued checks. If there is a question or discrepancy, we flag it and let you know.

How Positive Pay Works

  • Your company sends Union a check issue file each time you distribute checks.
  • A simple comma-delimited file or fixed position file from your accounting software can be used.
  • Union will compare the checks presented for payment with the check issued file.
  • Exceptions are identified and reported to you so that you can log into the Positive pay system and decide if they should be paid or returned.
