Important Business Merger Information for StellarOne Customers

Here are key dates and important items that you should be familiar with in order to ease the transition of your Business Online Banking accounts. To view the merger announcement, click here.

Note: This information applies to StellarOne "Commercial" accounts.
Visit our Consumer Merger Information page if you currently have a StellarOne "Personal" or StellarOne "Business" account.


Key Dates

  • Friday, May 2nd - 5:00pm
    Bill Pay is disabled at StellarOne.
  • Friday, May 9th - 5:00pm
    Online Banking is disabled at StellarOne.
  • Monday, May 12th - 8:30am
    Online Banking and Bill Pay are enabled at www.bankatunion.com.

Your First Login

The first time you login to Business Online Banking, use the following credentials:

  1. Company ID: your company's 9 digit TIN/EIN
    - Example Company ID: 547891234
  2. User ID: if your User ID at StellarOne was "admin" please use admin + the last 4 numbers of your primary TIN/EIN.
    - Example User ID: admin1234
    Note: If your User ID at StellarOne was not "admin" you can use your old StellarOne User ID. (If you are an ACH or Wire customer, this is the first User ID entered when logging into StellarOne)
  3. User Password: welcome + the last 4 numbers of your TIN/EIN - Example User Password: welcome1234

You will then be guided through Union's Enhanced Multi-Factor Authentication process.

In addition to submitting your login credentials, this process will require you to enter a security access code, which will be sent to either the most current email address we have on file or via voice message. If sent via email, the code will be sent from support@digitalinsight.com.

Please verify your contact information is correct prior to Thursday, April 24th to ensure that you are able to login.

Entering this code will give you account access and you can choose to register your computer.

Online Banking

Online Transfers

Internal Scheduled Transfers will not be converted. This information will need to be re-entered post-merger.

External Transfers - (those set up at other Financial Institutions) will not be affected.

Online Transaction History

Transaction History - 30 days of history will be converted. Online check images will not transfer from your StellarOne account.

User ID

User IDs must contain at least four characters and cannot contain spaces or special characters. During conversion weekend, we will append a 1 to the end of your user ID if it contains fewer than four characters, and we will remove and spaces or special characters if present. Read more.

User Maintenance

Union does not allow more than one company administrator. In addition, administrators will not have the ability to control the times when users can log in or perform certain actions.

Online Statements

We will transfer 6 months of your eStatement history to Union's Online Banking as Online Statements. These will be available on May 12th. Union retains 7 years of Online Statements, which will build going forward.

If you wish to retain any additional statements, we recommend that you print or download them prior to 5:00pm on May 9th.

Not seeing your Online Statements?

To make sure you are enrolled, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into Business Online Banking
  2. Click on the Email tab
  3. In the subject line please type Online Statements
  4. Within the message area, type the last 4 digits of the account number(s) you'd like to have online statements and submit your message
  5. Online Statements will become available to you shortly after your submission under the Account Activities & Reporting tab

Note: If you were not already enrolled in Online Statements at StellarOne, your statements going forward will be available starting two business days after your next Union statement cut date.

Online Bill Payment

  • Bill Pay will not be available after 5:00pm on May 2nd.
  • All previously scheduled payments through May 11th will be processed through StellarOne.
  • Payments beginning May 12th will be processed through Union.
  • Your payees - as well as your existing single and recurring bill payments - will transfer over during system conversion weekend.
  • Bill Pay limits that exceed $10,000/transaction or $20,000/day will not be transferred. If you need higher limits, please contact your Treasury Services representative.
  • E-bills will not convert. Please note that you will need to re-establish e-bills for all applicable payees.
