Q: How much does Make-It-Mine cost?
A: There is currently no charge to order an initial Make-It-Mine card. Any replacement Make-It-Mine card requested within a twelve month period will cost $9.99 per card. The $9.99 charge will be debited directly from the primary checking account linked to your debit card.
Q: Are there any other restrictions around which cards can use Make-It-Mine?
A: Currently, your debit card number must start with 443547 or 439879 in order to utilize Make-It-Mine. If your card does not start with either of these numbers and you would like to use Make-It-Mine contact your nearest branch and they will assist you.
Q: Will my existing card work until my new customized card arrives?
A: Yes! Your existing card will continue to work until your new card is received and activated.
Q: How is my customized card approved?
A: Every image submitted is reviewed to ensure compliance with Union's Image Guidelines. You will receive an approval e-mail within two business days and the new card will be ordered immediately. The new customized card will be delivered in 10-14 business days.
Q: What images are not acceptable?
A: See the Image Guidelines for Union's photo submission rules. If an image is rejected, you will be notified by e-mail within two business days. You may submit a new image anytime following your rejection notification.
Q: How can I ensure my card will look its best?
A: Choose a clear, sharply-focused image, preferably taken at a high resolution: 300 dot-per-inch (DPI) or greater. You can also use photo-editing software to enhance your photo prior to uploading it.
Q: What size and format does my digital photo need to be?
A: Picture files can be in JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg), PNG, GIF, Bitmap (.bmp), or TIFF formats. The minimum file size should be at least 50KB in size and at least 840 X 840 pixels. You cannot upload an image that is less than 840 pixels along its smallest side. The maximum file size cannot exceed 10 megabytes (MB).
Q: While customizing my card can I edit my photo?
A: Yes. The photo box allows you to rotate, crop, etc.
Q: Can I change the photo if I'm not happy with the preview?
A: Yes! You have the opportunity to edit the photo again or choose a different photo at any time before ordering.
Q: What if I get an error message after submitting a customized card?
A: If you receive an error message after the customized card process is complete, please close the browser, and try again. If the problem persists, contact the customer service center.
Q: I recently changed my address; can I order a customized card?
A: You may have to wait 30 days before you can customize a card if you have recently changed your address. This is a control in place to protect your identity.
Q: What happens if my customized card expires?
A: Upon expiration of your card, a new card will automatically be sent with the same image as your most recent card.
Q: How will I receive my personalized card?
A: Your card will be mailed to you via the US Postal Service.
Q: What if my card is lost or stolen?
A: If your card is lost or stolen, please contact us immediately to replace your card. Your newly issued card will have the same image as your previous card.
